Fuel prices

Today's rant! On 10/5 I topped off the tank at Sams' Club prior to a trip at $3.70/gal. Today, same place $3.95/gal.

In South Florida (Palm Beach County) Diesel is $3.89 and gas is $3.39. When we left Sevierville, TN in late October, diesel was $379 and gas was $3.26.

Cheapest Gasoline in the World: Venezuela, the World's Fourth Largest Oil Exporter

Gasoline for 25 Cents a Gallon

With these prices who cares if you only get 6 miles to the gallon.

And the pay scale is about the same as here in the US.

National Salary Data (? XAll compensation data shown are the gross, national median (50th percentile). Pay can vary greatly by location. To view local data, take the PayScale survey.

We should be in the same boat as Vensuela but the powers that be refuse to open up our existing reserves like ANWAR.

If we have more they will export more, oil is a government business in Venezuela they control prices. We are a free market, our oil companies will export to the highest bidder.

My former sister-in-law lives there and told me that she pays .25 a gallon. They live on their boat and live VERY well on my brother-in-law's Marine Corps pension.

I don't know if this is true or not, but when they convinced people and our gornment that if the were allowed to build the Alaskan Pipe Line.....the United States would never be held hostage by the scumbag's OPEC....and that we would never need to import any of our oil, and that there was enough oil in that area for the next 500 years.

If that's true how come almost if not all of the oil form the oil fields in Alaska is exported to Asia and or Japan?

I think some body is in some body's pocket.

I paid $3.85 a gal. yesterday for Gasoline, Diesel was $4.19 a Gal.

If We Can't Haul It...You Don't Need It ! Motor-T

As long as we allow the export of oil (or it's products) obtained in this country abroad, it makes no sense to open ANWAR or any other new drilling for that matter...

The great Oil Boom of N.D. Where is all the product going from those fields? I heard its possibly being processed and exported. What a rip that has to be. We supply the jobs and they ship our products out and away?

We could open up drilling in every imaginable place in the U.S. And the American people probably wouldnt see a drop of it because as said above it goes to the highest bidder. Be careful what you wish for.Drilling here in the U S doesnt necessarly mean cheaper oil for us.....

Most don't understand this: The drill baby drill folks, think it will lower prices; same people believe the world is flat, and the moon is made of cheese.: laugh:
