fuel prices

I just got a smartphone from costco , first one, something about 32 years at the phone company .Anyway it has a way cool app called GASBUDDY that looks for cheap fuel prices around your location. The first time I used it I save almost .30 cents a gallon that was a $9.00 savings to fill my pick-up .So I'm thinking my rv holds 150 gallons that would be $45.00 saved on one fill up more then the cost of the data plan that I have to pay for every month it .I also found another app called SHOPSAVVY that lets you scan bar codes on items and will check prices at other stores around you both of these app are free to down load . I also now have free access to the web/internet which is worth the price of admisssion all by itself !! I'm starting to like having a phone on my side ,could be that I'm retired now but thats another story. Anyway just a thought on saving some bucks at the pump Thanks and enjoy TONKA

Welcome to the tech world! I have an iPhone with those apps and they are indeed handy in some situations, (looking for gas prices) is a good example. I use Yelp to look for restaurants and coffee shops among others. I even added TomTom GPS and it helped me get through LA traffic unscathed. All of these things from a portable phone that will fit in my shirt pocket! I can even look up something on the internet and then make a phone call to the business. Wonderful... Jack
