GANDER OUTDOORS/Camping World
Gander Outdoors: FYI just read in local news, "GANDER OUTDOORS IS CLOSED!"
News in Sheboygan WI. Seems others were talking about Camping Worlds troubles, and filings in June of this year.

And GanderWorld opens new stores, too. Perhaps Wisconsin is a saturated market for them?

Camping World is not going anywhere no matter how many posts and You Tube videos predict it.

Gander outdoor
All good points. There is a CW about 20 miles South of this G O. I am not aware of the differences in merchandise of each store.
I do believe that CW and its wide footprint among many different types of services or stores will continue to be present in the RV world.

No dog in this fight but why do some think CW can never go out? Anyone remember Wool Worth's? H.L. Greens? K-Mart? Sears is a shell of it's former self. Macys and Penny's are barely hanging on. Fleetwood Manufacturered home division which at one point was the largest Manufacturered home builder in the country is gone. Most of the auto companies at one point were on the verge of being gone and they were 100 times the size of CW. The list is endless. Of course they can go out any company anywhere can go out for any number of reasons.
All it would take is an interest rate increase and a down turn in the economy and CW would be in trouble.

Camping World is a very big topic in the RV world. They've purchased many of the great RV stores at much more than they were worth. Their management style is slam and jamb, and salesmen and managers are terminated if they don't meet their rather lofty sales and profit objectives. They try to get you on front end profits, on add on's and on the back end with ESPs and financing. CW generally is not well regarded by their retail customers.
Right now, Camping World is not meeting their waypoints in sales and profits. And Wall Street is not fooled with 52 week high stock prices of $26.63 and today's closing price of $12.24. There's been talk about management irregularities, and they are not a stock to hold or purchase.
They could easily disappear if there is a change in the economy.
