garden hose rubber coupling that fits over a badly damaged end

At the dump stations the hose end is damaged or missing. Seems like I saw a rubber funnel like hose end that you can push over it to get a seal, then you just use a 10ft hose to run into the bathroom window.

Is there such a thing, what is it called? Where can I get it?

Google and Amazon can't find it.

Thanks! Phil

They SHOULD BE cut/modified such that you can NOT use the dump station hose to fill potable water!

It likely just went into the last guy's sewer hose!

This was my first thought also. Some camp grounds make it impossible to hook up a hose to those. Because it's non potable. People might have stuffed it down the stinky slinky, like at most dump areas.

But to answer your question, as others stated. It's a water bandit. I have one, and it's great in a pinch for a weird situation. But I'm sure you know, please don't use it in the hose next to the dump pit lol

We never ever take a chance with "potable" water.
We buy almost a gallon jugs of drinking water and use it for drinking, cooking, and making coffee.
When the 6 jugs we travel with run out we go buy 6 more.

I agree---I set one 2 1/2-gal jug under the sink with pump for the ice maker in the fridge and and it will last about 2 weeks before refilling.

Why do you want to put the hose through the window?
Most campgrounds have a separate hose for fresh water. Further away from the dumpstation.

The water bandits are normally used on faucets that to not have threaded fittings, like in a lot of state and national parks

Years ago travel trailers, truck campers, etc. did not have a flushing nozzle in the black tank. The only way to flush it was by running a hose inside the trailer and down the commode.

Then the added flushing plumbing was added; that eliminated hose through the window method.
He can eliminate having to do that by using more water with each flush, enough to keep all solids covered with liquid.

Last year when I stayed a Casey's in Socorro, NM they had the rinse hose set up like an air hose with a blow gun on the end.

The OP is asking about a fitting for connecting a short hose to flush his toilet, via the window. He wasn't talking about drinking it. Many of the sewer stations don't have threaded hose connections, the water bandit or hose thief posted above lets you tap into a hose bib with no threads.

The OP can do as he chooses but my opinion is that he's going through a lot of trouble to accomplish next to nothing. The simple solution for most RVs is to make sure the tank has a lot of liquid in it before dumping. Most everything's gonna come out with a good whoosh..

Bringing a hose through a window may be asking for trouble if a person doesn't watch what he or she is doing.

Btw, my rig does not have a black tank flush either. Dumping with tanks above 1/2 full has worked fine for the many years I've owned it.

Mudfrog.....I agree. However, you can talk until your blue in the face on here and never change anyone's mind on how to dump their tanks. Some use a lot of water only, some use chemical, some wash out the tank via a wand through the toilet bowl and some rinse until the plastic starts to wear off the tank. Some won't leave the grey valve open for fear an alligator while climb into the tank.

I'm basically lazy and make dumping as simple as possible. I have a lousy back and the less time I have to spend bending over at the wet bay the better. I use a SaniCon with electric dump valves that I can operate from inside the coach. On departure day, I dump from inside, walk outside, put the cap on the SaniCon hose and stuff it in the wet bay. No hoses to store, or rinse and no flushing the tanks.

Others seem to want to spend 30-40 minutes flushing, rinsing and storing hoses. That's their method and they'll never change but to each their own.

Negative on potable water, just run it into the window and wife uses it to fill the toilet to flush the black tank.
