Gas Discount Card/App

We are towing a Basecamp X with a 3/4 ton pickup and was wondering if there is some kind of app for discounted gas prices or where the lowest gas prices are.

I've seen diesel discounts, but never any for a gasser & wondering if that's even a thing

Try GetUpside (app) You can set it for the fuel you burn. Savings varies by location. The downside is it is only good for 50 gallons.

There are several apps that show local fuel prices. Gasbuddy is probably the most common one.

Just keep in mind that a discount card does not always = the best price. Even if you get $0.50/gallon off with your discount, if the station you use it at cost $0.75/gallon more than the station down the street you still paid $0.25/gallon more.......

I have one of the diesel discount cards. My truck holds 275 gallons. I rarely use that card at in network stations as I can usually find price at least $0.25/gallon cheaper.

No discount program but a good source for gas pricing along your route. Works very well for me.

Good Sam membership gets you 8 cents a gallon off for any fuel purchase at Flying J/Pilot.

Plus you get discounts on propane and dump fees there too

It's not a lot but it's better than nothing

Gasbuddy is great for finding the best prices. Not sure what phone you are using, but our Android phones work well with it. Helped us avoid the IL excessive taxation on fuel.

I just used their app to find the best deals for a year or so. Finally became a member 6 months ago. The challenge is their limits are $75 per day, $300 per week. With a150 gal tank and$3/gal, the $75 doesn't get me too much. Follow their rules and you can save 10+% at least on the first $75. But be sure to look at who has the best price, which isn't always with the gasbuddy discount.

To get the Gasbuddy discount at a pump you need their card, which will act as a debit card tied to your checking account. It's free to get but I think you pay shipping to get the card.

Shell offers a Fuel Rewards card, typically good for $.03-$.05 off at any Shell pump, depending on how often you use it. It's free and you can order it online.

If there are Maverik gas stations near you get their Nitro card. You will need to go inside the store and ask for one. They are free, and like Gasbuddy, act as a debit card tied to your checking account. I want to say that one gets $.06-$.08 off per gallon. They have an adventurer card that's free. It doesn't tie to your checking account, and the discounts on gas aren't as good as the Nitro card.

I carry those 3 depending on what's available near me.

If you are a retired military you can use PenFed credit card it gives 5% off the price of each gallon. At $3.00 bucks a gallon that’s 15 cents a gallon. Verizon has a card that gives 4% off. I live right on I-40 and at exit 364 there is a Pilot/Flying J the diesel is $3.81 a gallon, 10 miles from there diesel is selling for $2.97 a gallon at Walmart I use my credit card and get almost 15 cents a gallon off the $2.97. My buddy has a Bank of America card that he gets 5% off at pump but he has $10,000 bucks in Bank of America. If you know someone that is military there is a way around being in the military

I carry the TSD card which gives me a discount on the highway for diesel. What I’ve found though, is that the prices at truck stops are jacked up. The price in town is usually the same or lower than the discounted price I get. Truck stops are convenient, but the TSD card is not a real money saver IMO.

My Costco / Visa card gives 5% back on what ever I buy, and combined with the Gas Buddy app, I'm happy.
Well I'm not happy with the COST of gas, And we will all have to wait a little over a year to fix that............
