Other than the "Gulf States" is gas available in the North country? Minnesota, Iowa, ND, SD, Wisconsin, Ill Etc. Planning last trip befor winterizing, has anyone in the "North Country" seen a "CLOSED" Station with a "SIGN" due to shortage we are "OUT of GAS"?

Recently driven from Des Moines to Chicago and from Des Moines to Rochester MN. Plenty of fuel if you can pay for it. Gas 2.59 in Des Moines, 2.65 in Rochester and 3.19 in Chicagoland.

With only one reply, I take it there is no shortage, right?
Just charge what the traffic will bear, right now in the twincitys Stp/Mpls, its $2.32, I was just concerned about availability of gas, can you buy enough to get back home! So far no one has said there are stations closed due to the lack of gas.

Hi Bruce,
After talking to friends about the country, there doesn't seem to be any shortages and lines like in the '70's but then again, petroleum production in September was at an all time low since 1943 so who knows what's around the corner.
I definitely know how you feel about getting stranded out in Podunk Junction with no gas.
(No offense intended for the residents of Podunk Junction)

I'm in Biloxi Ms. area. I have yet to find a fuel shortage anywhere except in the news media. I just got back from filling up at 2.799, what a treat.
