Can you believe the audacity.
Here in OH it the same thing. The very day harvey made land fall Gas went from $2.11 to $2.49 Then 3 day later it went to $2.59

These stations are less than 10 miles from a refinery. I bet it take 4 months to go back to $2.40 If it does.

We only went from $2.34 to $2.59. All our gas and fuel comes from the refinery in Superior, WI, only 85 miles away. The crude comes from either Canada or North Dakota. Tell me, what does that have to do with the hurricane in Texas??? I suppose if Irma hits Florida or the Atlantic seaboard, there will somehow be another excuse to raise prices.

Location of 'refinery' has little to do with local fuel prices.
Casper WY HAD 3 refineries right in town.........fuel prices were higher

Supply/demand dictates pricing.

Refineries, oil rigs shut down means no oil production until rig/plants back up. Current storage will be drawn down therefore 'supply' decreases wile 'demand' goes up.....Labor Day travel has historically meant higher fuel pricing PLUS loss of production/refineries.

Verde Valley AZ
Reg gas...$2.39
Diesel......$2.45

Here in CA, gas prices have jumped as well...about .25/gallon; $3.25-$3.35/gallon now. But the worst part is the fact that NOT ONE DROP of gas sold in CA is refined anywhere else! CA sells ONLY gas refined right here in CA! How could Harvey affect CA gas? Why did they increase prices? Because they can!

Let's all keep this in perpective. Remember when gas was $4 per gallon?
Any thing under 3 is still a bargain.

Most of the big truck stops had diesel at $2.94 when we drove on I-10 on Thursday in Florida. When I got back home to Elberta, AL I filled up my motorhome at a local Shell station and I paid $2.49 which was 14 cents higher than before Harvey.
