Its a mess. If we do produce more oil will it stay in the states? Wasn't some oil pumped out of our government storage a few years back in order to keep the price of crude down. The rumor I got was it was shipped to the Brits. It went into that big global pipeline. The more we pump the more that goes into that big pipeline. Self suffeciant? I don't think so. This is all part of the control the oil companies have on us. I don't have the answer for all this and I can see it getting worse. Free interprise or greedy interprise? Perhaps too many foreign people are buying into the oil companies and should be given the boot. There should be a way we the people can survive and not be raped. The system is broken!

Wow! All this unearned profit is wonderful! I just am having a hard time finding what companies do it so I can buy their stock and become super rich! If the system is broken, it can't be all bad if it makes us all rich!

P.S. Doesn't anyone wish they had a smattering of economics in school?

In the time since this topic resurfaced we here at iRV2 have added "political content" to the prohibited list.

Discussing oil prices and actions against oil companies certainly would NOT be construed as a political action, however in previous posts there was some discussion of a "political" nature, which would obviously not be allowed now.

Thank you for your support of iRV2 and our efforts to keep this the best source for the RV'er on the web.

Well Gus, I did have education in economics while in school which is why I know just how wrong your comment is.
