Has anyone put a Gen-turi extended exhaust on a honda eu3000, would like to hear and see your set up.

Isn't that a portable Honda generator?
And I have only seen a GenTuri being used on generators built into an RV.

I honestly don't see a need for it. Just point and aim the exhaust away from other campers so the noise and fumes don't bother them and keep it away from your space.
This isn't as easy to do on an RV with an on board generator. That is why we use the Gen-Turi units on our RV's. It also directs the exhaust above the roof line so you don't get fumes inside the coach . This is especially important when the generator is mounted in the rear of the coach like most gas coaches are and the bedroom is also in the rear. You don't want to leave a window open over the exhaust pipe of a running generator.

Its not my choice, I'll be racing at Pomona in Nov. and they say in the pits you have to have one.

That being the case I'd call track management and get a clarification. I can't imagine a pit full of portable generators with exhaust stacks on them.
Do they by any chance require this on generators left inside a trailer? That would make sense to me.

I haven't done it but I do own both a Honda generator and a Genturi so I will try to answer you question. First you will need an adapter to go from the small exhaust on the generator, I'm guessing around 3/4-7/8 inch , up to the pipe on the genturi. A muffler shop should be able to make one but I would first hit Lowe's and see if I could fab something out of galvanized rigid conduit. Then you will need something to support the genturi upright. I would try to set the generator close to my ladder and strap it to the ladder in order to support it.

I'm thinking a Venturi on a portable generator could possibly be troublesome, such as exhaust back pressure, heat .
Just point it in a friendly direction

Not that the Genturi is the heaviest of things. But an actual Genturi in my opinion would possibly topple over from lack of support. Also i had never seen one on a portable generator.
But. When in doubt. Go to Amazon. Here is an exhaust extension with 5 feet of hose that I guess you could point upwards. Not sure it it fits your exact model...

where we tailgate (and use a genturi) I have seen many portables use a dryer vent hose. They usually tie the end to the top of TT or whatever they are camping in. Can't speak to how they tie it in to the generator though.

Thats what i ordered off of ebay, should get me out of the generator to the gen-turi, which will be supported, and up in the air. Suppose to be here Sat., when its done I'll post back and let you know how it works.

In RV lots at LSU football games, LSU Safety requires that generator exhaust be discharged at or above the roof line of every RV regardless of generator type. There are several folks in the RV lots with Honda 2000 and 3000 generators that have simple to elaborate exhaust extension apparatuses. Auburn visits LSU this weekend (9/26/19) for an exciting top 10 match-up. I will take photos of some of the exhaust extension set-ups for Honda 3000 generators and post them on Monday.

Could you pound a long rod or two in the ground there to fasten a tube to. A Honda 3000 is heavy enough to hold stand so to speak under it. Think of portable basket hoop Honda is weight..The make adaptors for remoting Honda exhaust to outdoor from indoors.
