Geo Method Calgon Source

Been shopping hard for Calgon powdered water softner. Finally found best deal (not available local stores.) meijer.com has it on sale for 3.89 a box. Ordered four and shipping was 7.95. Not bad I think, wonder how much shipping is for 8 boxes, changed order, shipping still 7.95. Didn't try any bigger numbers. Eight boxes on the way to TX for less than normal in-store price.

I use White King water softener, about 3 bucks for a 4.81 pound box. Works the same as Calgon and is easier to find. Last I bought was in Winco,a food chain.

We get our Calgon at Wal Mart in the liquid form...much easier to "disolve" than powder.

White King at Albertsons.
I too could not find Calgon. I have a 70 gallon black tank.
1 cup of laundry detergent and 1 cup of water softner down the toilet. Do it in a flushed out tank with 5 gallons of water in it before you go down the road and you will find it very easy to flush out the black tank. It keeps the "stuff" in suspension rather than stuck to the tank. It washes off what is stuck to the tank walls. Human solid waste is very greasy and this overcomes the grease.
