Getting a Counter Extension from Keystone

Hi all, we are fairly new to the RV world. We bought a 2018 Keystone Outback 266RB trailer in 2018 and are very happy with it. I do however occasionally surf the new Keystone floorplans just to see what's out there that's new and improved. I noticed that some new floor plans, that have the same kitchen counter layout as ours, now have a matching counter extension. See picture.

I would love to get one and install it on the end of our trailer's kitchen counter.

But how would I go about getting one?

Call Keystone or a local cabinet shop.

I'd go for a cabinet shop or countertop place. If you're flexible on the size, time, and simple straight edges they might be able to make it out of a piece that would normally be scrapped and give you a deal.

Good luck trying to get anything from Keystone. I can't even order a trailer from them with the selected options I want, according to my local Keystone dealer.

I'd call Keystone first.

Then:

Trekwood handles virtually all of the Keystone excess or obsolete inventory: https://www.trekwood.com/index

If available you may need to look at other years or other Keystone RVs. Also, their shipping charges can be ridiculous.

Other then that either DIY or a cabinet shop as suggested above is a bunch less expensive

It is just a folding shelf mounted to the end of the cabinet. Go see a local cabinet maker. Not rocket science. The only issue will be matching the formica pattern.

Maybe you can order it from Keystones "Direct" Parts operation.

You can also buy folding shelf brackets on Amazon or at cabinet supply shops and make your own.

I've added a shelf like that to two RV's. You can buy the shelf brackets on Amazon, they have dozens of them. Just pick your size.

If Keystone, still has your countertop material, that would look nice, but a wooden cutting board also works well and doesn't look out of place.

I have made a couple of these. Buy the folding brackets from Amazon. One I used a wooden cutting board the other I used a HDPE cutting board.
