On our previous coach we had a couple slide toppers that were starting to tear on the edges from age. I used black gorilla tape to “shore up” things until I could get the fabric and replace. It was barely noticeable from the ground and was still going VERY strong a year later when I finally replaced the toppers. (Had probably been “rolled and unrolled” 2 dozen times easily at that point”. When I saw going strong, I mean it wasn’t coming off even if I wanted it to!

Water drains off when the side is retracted. My 26' FWS topper is bowed down in the middle, can't avoid it.

I have the same problem. 2016 HR Vacationer 33c. The large wall slide on drivers side has a topper and it is so long with no support in the middle the water pools in the middle and it sags down so far the top rubber wiper can't reach into the pool of water to clean it off as the slide is brought in.

What I have to do is go up on the roof with a window squeege on a long pole and push off the water on both the wall and bedroom slides. It is a pain in the butt to do but I do not get water inside the coach after the slides are brought in. Been there, done that. Not a perfect solution but it works.

Also, as a side note the topper itself gets dragged into the interior with all the weight of the water on it. Not good do that is another reason why I have to get up on the roof and push the water off.

you should get on a ladder and have the wife move the slide in and watch the top go under the wiper. i'll bet you'll see a sag in the roof line of the slide. it only takes a gap of 1" to let a lot of water buy the seal wiper. the fix ? maybe a ladder and a squeegee

Try brining your slide in slowly. The water will have time to shed.

Yes! This means bring it in a few inches and stop...... wait for water to run off..... a few more inches, stop....... repeat
