Does anyone have any experience in purchasing from Giant RV in Southern California?
I am considering purchasing an 07 WW FS2600. They are tough to beat on prices, especially compared to the WW dealers in the Phoenix area.
Thanks!

My experience was bad...High pressure, shady sales tactics that caused me to walk the other direction. My salesman was unknowledgeable and could have cared less about what I was looking for. He just wanted to make a sale on anything from the lot. Be careful, especially if you are coming all the way out here from Az.

The guy I am dealing with is from their fleet/Internet sales department. So far, he has been a pretty good guy to talk with. Shot me a good price initially and is now trying to get me a better one.
He appears to be very busy, so it taking a little longer than I thought to get the final prices, but I ain't in a huge hurry if I can save $$$$$$$$.
It is definitely a concern of mine to have good service after the sale and it is a long haul back to So Cal.
Thanks for the feedback!

I got a great deal at Giant RV. 27% off of MSRP on a Dolphin. It was at the Colton store. I use National RV's factory for service so I can't speak about the after-sale service at Giant. Good luck with your deal.

Well I have worked a pretty good deal at Beaudry RV in Tucson. They also have a Mesa and Phoenix location, but only sell WW in Tucson. They will service it up here, so that is about as local as it gets.
They have a price of about $35,000 OTD (inlcudes 6.1% sales tax, license, and $299 doc fee) for a loaded, gelcoat, 07 WW FS2600. The MSRP is $42,283 on that unit. That is slightly higher than where Giant is at, but I don't have as much hassle taking delivery and getting service. They are also throwing in 60 gallons of gas, propane, two jackets, two nights at their RV resort, and a membership in the 1000 Trails RV club (not real exciting, but **** I'll take it). I am still trying to work in the hitch, but haven't got that yet. They want $800 for a Reese installed.
I was hoping to be closer to $33K OTD, but the only way I can get there is sacrifice some options like the captains chairs, vinyl flooring, batteries, etc.
What do you think? Is that a good deal or what? I've called about 5 dealers and that is about as good as it gets on the 07s and the 08s aren't gonna be any cheaper.
Thanks!

Just remember, what Giant is quoting is still more than what you could get them down to if you really try. That means these guys are still way up there. 25% off would get it around 32. I would tell them to keep all their other offers that you could care less about anyway and get the price down where you want it, offer them 32 and walk when they say no, if they don't call you with a better offer in a day or two you can always come up but you can't go down. Its my experience that until you play them awhile you never get the best deal. When the sales manager is personally crying on your shoulder telling you he's going to lose his job if he sells it to you for that it means you're getting close. If you're still talking to the salesman alone, then there's a lot left on the table.

Yeah, I have been whittling him down for the last few days. I actually had to call him back today, as they told me yesterday they were all in at that price.
Giant was trying to get me some factory money, but it only amounted to a couple hundred $.
I found some new 06 Ragen's for a decent price, but not that much better with a few less features.
I have found out that buying these campers is like buying cars several years back. Everyone wants to haggle and try and screw you. I could walk in to any of three car dealers and walk out with a truck 25% off MSRP in a matter of an hour or two. I am days into this camper crap. I had a similar experience with my boat a couple years back.
I guess there is simply too much $$ floating around down here (people don't seem to think twice about dropping a lot of cash). Even the used stuff is pricey and some of it is not well cared for.
Out!

I pulled the trigger on an WW FSC2800. I pick it up Wednesday. I bought it from Travelon RV at their Glendale, Arizona store. That was the last place I thought I would buy, but in the end they matched the best price I could get anywhere else and they are local so that is good.
It was $32,213 and $35,300 OTD (tax and license are spendy here in AZ) and it is pretty much loaded with an MSRP of $42,000. It has the blue graphics and tan interior. I was happy with the price overall, but I would have still liked to be a little lower. Oh well, I have a hunting trip next weekend and I bet I won't think twice about it from here forward.
I figure that 22% off MSRP is pretty good here in AZ. I pounded on these guys for the last five days and I had pretty much everybody at the same price considering options. Giant in SoCal was a little lower, but with pickup or delivery fees it was pretty much a wash.
Thanks for all the advice!
Out!
