GMAC insurance increase
Just got my renewal three pages telling me they were increasing my rate by $52 a year because, a, I had too many credit cards (3) b, I did not have a credit card long enough (8 years), c, was late on a payment (never, all are direct bank pay), and some other gibberish about people with bad credit being bad drivers ( no tickets in 10 years, no accidents in 20 years, 3 claims in 15, one a windshield, one an uninsured motorist, none with them.
Called and expressed displeasure, reply was basically, so? Then told them to remove my wife, was told rate will increase because of only one driver, then told him I was changing residence to SD, from Wash, rate will increase.
So I told him I would be posting their scam on this forum, reply was, go ahead. Ta Da.

Lots of other choices - shop around. We use National Interstate, but that's still just one of many.

Definitely don't mean anything derogatory by this but I'm going to guess you're full timers. If so, just about all of the insurance companies are becoming hard to deal with mainly because of comprehensive and collision coverage.

We switched from GMAC and have the same coverage but with two different companies for MH and vehicles and saved $350 a year from what they were going to raise the rates to! It took me about a month to compare due to our unique scenario but was worth it.

Contacted the credit reporting company GMAC said they used for a copy of the report, Guess what, they say they have never given a copy of a credit report to GMAC, in fact they do not have one on me. So it is a scam GMAC is using just to bluff a rate increase. Now I have it in writing have to file an appeal in writing, not on line, just so it will take longer, shoddy way to do business. Avoid them at all costs, Good Sam will get a copy as well.

Save the time and effort Good Sam could care less, like KOA, they are a marketing company. Once they sell you something they aren't interested in YOUR problems unless it involves them not getting paid.
