Going with out reservations?
We are wanting to go to Savana Ga. But I have called all of the RV Parks and all are sold out in the area. I am thinking of going anyway and see if we can luck out and fined a place to park? Has anyone done this before? Am I dreaming? Anybody got ant suggestions! This is all new to us, so anything will be of some help to us.
thanks

Sure you called them all ?!? sometimes local parks are not listed... ask away !
Depends on what you expect in the way of a park...
we used to just take off, but now, 'certain people'. demand certain amenities and so we usually do reservations.
You can always ask to be put on a waiting list and/or Use google to search rv parks, campgrounds, etc... to call ahead the morning of your expected arrival and you might get lucky (or might not!)

Savannah can be busy on weekends, especially if there is some event in town, but there are quite a few parks in the area as well. You also didn't say what sort of amenities you are looking for, and what the minimum you could tolerate may be. Heck, there are a few stores in the general area that allow overnighting in their parking lot, if that would suit you.
But if you really called ALL the parks, and they ALL said they can't accommodate you, why would you think some site will miraculously appear? Cancellations can happen, of course, but there still may be others ahead of you.

We stayed here for our visit to Savannah. Not the greatest park, but quiet and reasonably priced with in easy driving distance. Maybe this will help.
Hardeeville RV - Thomas Parks - Passport America Camping & RV Club. In case link doesn't work, Thomas RV park in Hardeeville, South Carolina.

Each Dec we leave Wisconsin for warmer weather and travel throughout the south and/or southwest until late March.
In 13 years we've never made a campground reservation.
BTW that was only a problem once.. no sites were available in a COE park in Texas when we arrived...(however we were allowed to dry camp overnight near the registration office until another RVer checked out the following morning).

Hardeeville RV Park is in South Carolina and only about 10 minutes fro. The Savannah Visitor Center. It is a full hook up campground but does not have a bath house so you must be self contained. It is also a Passport America Park. We find it a perfectly good place to stay. It is not fancy though but the sites are large. I think there is also another campground in the same area but I cannot remember the name.

In 25 years of RVing I have never made a reservation anywhere and have never failed to find a site, some better than others but nevertheless a site.
