I haven't seen a need for getting a Golf Cart in over 40 years of having a RV. Even in big campgrounds my toad or walking has been enough to get me where I need to go.
OH!!! I don't play any golf and notice many Golf Cart owners running around in campgrounds doesn't either.

We despise the golf carts and avoid parks that allow them. Unless you're disabled I don't understand the need to parade around an RV park in them. Most of the people who have them could use the exercise of walking. They drive our dogs wild and start them barking, which annoys us and the folks around us

Up until my recent experience, I had no opinion one way or the other but I was surprised to see how many people were actually sporting these machines. As someone else said, if you have mobility or health issues, that is one thing, anything else just seems well unnecessary.

Just like anything else some idiots leave a bad impression on others. Most of us that have these carts are very responsible and carry a insurance policy on them because they costs more than a lot of people's cars. If the park allows them which a lot don't and you don't like it camp somewhere else. For instance ocean lakes in myrtle beach does and stays full .

I think the golf carts are in bad taste (yeah, yeah, I know some people have a hard time getting around) and an indication of the degeneracy of our society. Other than that...

We don't understand why people can't walk around a campground either, although barking dogs are just as annoying as golf carts to us.

Be happy you don't have an illness that restricts you from walking very far. "We just don't understand" people that are so insensitive and/or intolerant.
BTW, some campground where folks winter are so large it can be a mile to activities centers or more. And the parking there won't support everyone taking their toads. But I guess if you are intolerant, that doesn't count either, I guess.
Live and let live...BTW dogs bark incessantly at folks passing by, walking or driving by, because owners allowed to dogs to do it until it became common nature...discipline your dogs...chances are they are barking and disturbing your neighbors when folks aren't passing by as well:(

We try and avoid parks that allow the use of Golf Carts for the general uses of the campers. We tend to review the parks on RV Park reviews and if the poster state that golf carts are allowed we find a different park. Not always possible but 90% effective this way.

Those not disabled can use a bicycle or tricycle.
There are things society rightfully demands I tolerate, golf carts are not among them.

Well then it becomes an very easy decision. Don't stay at parks where they are allowed. (except for disabled) Same as dogs or kids or any other condition you do not want to tolerate. It is not hard.

I hate the dang things. I can't stand the noise of them drivingredients through gravel all day. There always going faster than the posted speed limit making all kinds of dust as well. On the paved roads sometimes you can't hear the electric ones, and the next thing you know there right on top of you while your walking your dogs. It's freaking dangerous in my opinion. I understand that if it's the campgrounds policy to allow them it's my problem. The problem is that the Cg's website won't tell you that kind of info, just like they won't tell you there's an extra charge for A/C's , or no washing your vehicle's etc. If they showed that I wouldn't stay at there cg. I've left campgrounds early that had to many golf carts running around all day. One in particular was in Yuma,AZ where intoxicated golfers would come back to there rv's late. Some drove around for quite awhile before they could even find it. Almost got ran over at least 5 time's. Left a week early due to that. I know there are responsible people who use them, and that's fine. I just don't like to have to deal with the rudeness of the ones who aren't responsible.
