Dont buy a 12 volt air compressor. They are made off shore are pretty much the same and are of a very poor quality. I am a machinist and I modified one and installed it on a tank for my air train air horns, but that another story. They are junk. I use a 120 volt for my air supply. They are better, give you more air and more reliable. There are various makes on the market that work excellent.

Have you even looked at the previous two mentioned above ? Extremeoutback and Viair? They are definitely NOT poor quality!

I also have a Viair and I love it. I recently had the pressure gauge that came with it tested for accuracy and it was perfect.

After suffering through several 12v compressors, finally bought a Porter-Cable pancake model at Lowes. On sale for $100.

I did buy Viair 400P-RV expensive however, I just used it for the fist time today 1. I added 3-5 pounds to my van in 3 seconds same for my toad.2. I added 5 pounds to the motor home tires 22.5 average 30 seconds. amazing I forgot to run the engine and it did not seem to hamper the performance.
