Good Morning to my "Peeps"

Love my new RV, my dream come true. Yet to get on the road for the maiden voyage - but will soon. (this 100+ degree weather is just too much) BUT...

Driving out of town for work, going down I-40 - I pass and see numerous motor homes, travel trailers... I gaze at them with a sense of a family bond. And I think to myself, they are my peeps! I too am an RV owner!

How dang cool is that?

So as you drive down the road - I am there wishing you safe travels and enjoying this bond of ownership we all share. Driving my van, beaming with pride that I am really an RV owner and that you all are my peeps.

Happy travels my new friends!

Donna

I agree. We should come up with some kind of wave to fellow RV'ers like the motorcycle riders have. I've got in the habit of giving a small hand salute (left hand) to fellow travelers. If you notice most all drivers are eyeballing you as you meet and pass. Would kind of be unique to our meeting on the highways and byways. Have many happy miles and enjoy your ride.

On my last camping trip I flashed my brights as a way of greeting our fellow RVers. Some waved back, some gave me a puzzled look, some did nothing.
So if you see a class c coachmen flash his lights at you on a Alberta hiway it may be me

I like the idea of some way to acknowledge and greet fellow RVers, but here, when an oncomming vehicle flashes lights at you it generally means be on your best behavior, there's a police officer / squad car / speed trap ahead.

That true . I just give a single flash of my brights to greet instead of multiple flashes.

I just love "family" - a flash, a wave -- all out there together. That is just so cool.

We are new to the RV Life too and still in the learning stage and have only driven it back and forth to the dealers. Good driving practice but haven't been out on a trip yet. Our Encounter had a tv that had been removed and is now being replaced. I'll wave when I see you.....
