The CG discount is the biggest reason for me to have Good Sam. Additionally, the trip planner along with CG reviews is also good. Also consider a KOA VKR membership - that is often better for us, anyhow, since we stay at least overnight in many with their 10% discount plus points that add up to some free nights (right now at $100 credit to stays)

I am a member of KOA. They seem so much more expensive than every one else. Even with their discount.

Good Sam

Am also a member of Good Sam.

Two big ( in my opinion ) problems with them is that they keep filling my mailbox with junk AND also keep trying to sell their extended service policy, which they don't even offer on my coach ( because of its age ) !

Last year I would have agreed with you 100%. Not so much after the increased prices I've seen this year in many private CGs - at least in the East between Virginia and Maine. It is by far the easiest to make reservations of any as well as pick the type of site and even site number if you are a returning camper. As a very current example, the $50 buck/night site we had a couple days ago near Hershey, PA less the 5 buck discount equaled the GS price at the previous private CG near Richmond, VA. Others earlier were found to be similar.

Referral bonus?

Does Good Sam or KOA clubs offer referral discounts or bonuses? If so, someone please refer me so you and I can both benefit. Meanwhile, I'll be trying to decide which one to join.

Thank you,

Tom

I agree that the KOA app and website are super easy to reserve campsites.

I watch were my money goes. Good Sam isn't the only club out there that tries to dip twice. They can send junk, and I can use the recycle bin. But the benefits are the members in our chapter (#14 Mi.) are second to none. Great people, Great camping. and just Great everything. Oh yes, and the food is good also.
