Question Good Sam EXP for water heater

We have a 2005 Alfa 5th wheel (I am posting this here to get a much broader response base) and the original water heater tank has rotted out. It is a 10 gallon gas/electric unit. We are full timer so it runs on electric most of the time. My RV tech called Good Sam yesterday and they told him they don't cover tank failure. But when I read the contract it says Water Heater/Boiler Unit covered if installed by original mfg (which this one is). This is water heater costs almost 900.00 locally plus tax. My question is has anybody had Good Sam EXP replace their complete water heater because of tank failure?

A replacement water heater from Atwood is $455. Atwood 10 gallon Water Heater LP Gas DSI - $455.09

Someone is digging deep into your wallet

Also from good Sam ESP WATER HEATER/BOILER ASSEMBLY - Covers all parts.

I think you should be covered. Post this on RV.net and for sure Good Sam will get back to you about this

In exclusions though it says: Any damage or failure resulting from rust, corrosion or freezing
