I recently switched from CAA RV Plus as the rate jumped to over $225 per year to Good Sam rate of $79. On Sunday I stopped at a rest stop outside Columbia SC on I20. When I checked the MH I saw brake fluid on the ground. Not a good sign. Phoned GS it took some 20 minutes to get through to an operator (seemed like an eternity. They tried to get a mechanic, but being Sunday no luck. Arranged to tow to a RV park nearby. Total time some 4 hours. Next day phoned after 8 took some 20 minutes to reach an operator who then arranged for a mechanic to come. He arrived by 11:30. He found that one of the brake lines had corroded and was broken, unable to help. Phoned GS again reached them in less than 5 minutes. Arranged for a tow to a Ford dealer to fix the brake line. Tow arrived by 2 pm and at Dealer by 2:45. Total cost to me 0. Unfortunately, the real. cost is yet to arrive I think I have received my $79 worth of benefit. At this point would rate it an 8, faster operator response would move it to a 9. I am hard to please.

Ottawa & full-timer,
I have had and used Good Sam now for over 20 years with good results.
They may not always be the fastest to respond but have always been able to resolve my problems.
I would recommend them.

No insurance does not cover towing. You will find in Canada the insurance covers very little.

My GMAC insurance covers towing, but I'm in the states.

I have used GS three times...twice with the MH and once with a car. Very satisfied all three times.

Wow! $79. The last bill I got was for $109. Must be Canadian exchange rate?

No, $79 is Good Sam's introductory rate for new members of their ERS...the second year, it goes up to the $109.
