Good Sam membership cards- Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!

Received our new membership cards today and was disappointed in the quality. Instead of the nice plastic cards with embossed letters as in the past, the cards were very plain printed cards. The information on the cards was faded out in places. They sent me two cards ?? in my name and the membership # was not legible on one card and the name not legible on the other. On my wife's card the bar code was half faded out. I know that everyone wants to save money and I appreciate that, having owned a business for 36 years before retirement, but this is really a bad reflection on Good Sam. JMHO

P.S.- I called and they are sending me new cards.

If they still work the same as the old one who cares? You are paying for the membership, not engraved cards.

It doesn't make a bit of difference to me although our Lifetime cards are pretty nice. Since we are Charter Lifetime Members I did add that to the cards. A little time with the laser printer and some tape does it.

Got to agree with MSHC. Yes, I maintain the card as it does pay for itself but the perception of cheapness does hit home. Got an offer in the mail for a Vets discount, submitted, but never heard back. Finally called their 1-800 number, got the run around. Gave them my info and was told I'd get the registration in the mail within a week. Glad I didn't hold my breath in joyous anticipation.
