Good Sam RA Two Issues Maybe

I keep my coach in a nearby storage facility. It won't start...barely turns over....even with a jump starter rated for more liters than the engine. Could be batteries (they have recent dates) or maybe the starter. GS RA offers jump starts but what if it won't jump start and needs towing to a repair center. Are both covered? I plan to call them but wonder what the collective thinks.

Jump start the generator and let it charge the batteries.

Lots of marketing hype in them jumper packs.

A big diesel like your Bus needs a LOT more cranking amps than any gas engine - it has more than 2x the compression. So those jump boxes aren't really up to the job. Get the generator started and let it run a few hours, charging the house batteries, then use the built-in jump aux/emergency start for the engine.

What everyone else has said is good advise. Just for reference and possible future situation, I travel with a Truck Pac ES6000 jumper box (large lithium jumper battery) I’ve used them for many years in the boating world and have jumped many Diesel engines with it. Have not had to use it in the coach but a good safety net to have.
