Called Good Sam the first year, they set me up with National General.
Rates increased the next 2 years so I called Good Sam again and they switched me to Foremost who was cheaper.
Sure the policies weren't exactly the same but the important parts were.
Had a fenderbender last Fall and Foremost was great.

Like most owners, I have had similar experiences with companies bumping the rate after a year or two. When Allied bumped my rate from under $1600 to over $2,000, with no claims, I went looking. Geico offered the same coverage for under $1,000. That was over two years ago and the rate has not changed, even with two $3,000 windshields in that time. I have since switched four other vehicles over to Geico for a savings on each one. My daughter has been with them for over 20 years with excellent service and coverage when needed. I'll watch the rate at each renewal, but today, no company can beat their rate or prompt service.

I went to $1,000 deductible with $0 deductible on comprehensive. Just got a renewal from Geico. They bumped me from $465 to $485 for six months. Not bad after $6,000 worth of windshield claims in two years on a $235,000 motorhome. Does any company even come close to that rate??? I just sold the coach, but will continue Geico on all other vehicles.
Edit: I started with Good Sam too many years ago to remember. At that time, they were just a go between broker. Every three years each company would price themselves out of my comfort zone. I finally dropped them and shopped on my own. Much better after that.

Just curious, if you suspend coverage because you're not using the rig, what happens if you have a fire or some other event that damages your MH?

We shop every year at renewal time. Tried GS the last two years and they could not beat Progressive. Like others, we used to be loyal to one brand until they started raising rates for no reason. For awhile we could call and they would beat anyone else's rates. Then they stopped doing it and just started raising rates. Now we shop every year. Doesn't pay to be loyal to an insurance company any more. Guess they figure they got your money for doing nothing and let the next company have you for less.

Many will will suspend the collision and liability, but leave the comprehensive on. Comp will cover fire, vandalism and storm damage in most cases, but check with your insurance to confirm.

We have National General thru Good Sam.
I can't say enough about them. Last spring our 7 month old travel trailer got T boned at an intersection. We were on the 3rd day of our planned 4 month trip.
It was not our fault and the trailer got totaled (we were, fine as was the truck).
The adjuster never looked physically at the trailer, they used pics my wife took and sent them. We had full replacement coverage, and NG stepped up and took care of everything.
We had to put down our $500 deductible in order to get a new trailer on order (thru Lazy Days, Tampa where we bought our original).
Taxes on the new trailer were covered, and they also paid for LD to install the slide topper, 3 air vent covers, and the rear camera we had on our original without question. (They worked a deal with Lazy Days corporate and of course didn't pay retail price.)
So, we got a 2022 trailer to replace our 2021.
AND 6 moths later we got a check to refund our deductible that we had to shell out.
All in all, very positive experience with National General
