To all the trailer owners making a change to a tire with a hight Load Range.
1. You still need to be sure you are not overloading your tires so get scale readings to be sure.
2. It is recommended by the two tire engineers I knowofthat post to RV forums that you maintain at lease a 15% excess load capacity over the measured load ofn the heaviest loaded tire.
3. All 4 or 6 tires on a trailer should run the smae cold inflation so yes that means figure out whet the heaviest loaded tire needs and inflate all the tires to that level.
4. Now if you want to lower the chance of having a sidewall blowout due to sidewall flex failure you need to run a TPMS
5. Also if you want to lower the chance of having a belt/tread separation you need to increase your inflation with the higher the better for belt sep durability.
6. If you need 50 and the tires can hold 80 You mighcompromise and go to 65.
