We use a Garmin 760. It is RV intended. I like it a lot and use the back up camera feature to supplement the on board camera so I can see different views. I also have an on board Rand McNally but really like the redundancy of two. Very handy also is the opportunity to set each so that they display different data as I drive.

I recently purchased the Garmin 785 to replace my aging DeLorme Street Atlas.
Went with the 785 because of the built-in Dash cam.
So far using it, it hasn't lead us astray.

Any GPSr will get you where you want to go. Main thing is to not believe it will keep you out of trouble. Do not trust it 100%. Always verify the route with a paper map

We have been using Google Maps on our Samsung S2 Tablet along with RV Trip Wizard for Planning. We just double check that GM is sending us on the same route that RVTW showed and so far no issues. You can download the maps for your travel area from Google, so it functions even when you are not connected to the internet.

Doesn't RV Trip Wizard require an internet or phone connection?

There is a good reason that more people use Garmin than any other alternative. They work better than the other alternatives.

RVTW requires an internet connection which we have most of the time VIA our ToGo. We use RVTW for planning, but enter the route for each day in Google Maps which does not require an internet connection if you download the maps. We use Google Maps on the tablet in the car as well and it has no internet connection.

Yes it does, but there is a companion app for cell phones that will sync with your existing trips on RVTW and can be using for driving directions without the need for an internet connection.

There is a sub-forum here on irv-2 that discusses all things RVTW.

I have been using various GPS for 20 years

Saw a lot of country that I hadn't planned on by trusting them to much

Paid dearly for the early better units as well

Even today check and double check the alternative routes as they may not always pick the best route for your plans

Check at least one other source

Another vote for the Garmin 770. Very happy with ours. It's very intuitive and has been 100% accurate for us.
