Happy 4th - Almost run over

Decided to stay home rather than drive 5 miles to the beach. I was told that last year there were 110,000 all with illegal fireworks. Happy covid day!

Then I decided to talk a walk because all the cars were someplace. I was almost back and walking on the one place where cars were concern on my right then heard something on my left.

Four big ones and a bambi blasted by me before I could react. The deer are usually docile. I had already walked buy some.

I do not think they saw me and it may not have mattered as fast as they were going. If they had hit me they would have knocked me into next and not just because it Sunday.

Even walking is dangerous. I don't go anywhere on any Holidays, too many crazies.

With the illegal fireworks, it was like the first day of hunting season in Pennsylvania. Deer in blind panic mode. When I lived there my driveway was beside a field on sweet corn. Driving by it, the same deer would come out of the field, run down the shoulder, then jump over the hood of my car when it had caught up with me.

I often share my campsite with deer. Took my house plant outside to water and get some sun a few years ago. Forgot to bring them in and they were eaten to the nubs.

Now I hang then high.
