hard to find parts for

Hi all, new to this forum, not even sure if I'm posting this question in the right area. But my question is I just bought an 88 itasca suncruiser, has a little front end damage to right side, my question is does anyone have or know where I might find a headlights bucket for this. Not having much luck finding parts for this old of a motorhome. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

RVs do not have custom headlamps or tail lights. The headlamp assembly will be from some car or truck of about the same vintage. If you cannot identify it from stampings on it, try calling Winnebago and see if they have records to tell where that part came from. Once you know the pedigree of the part, you have a modest chance of being able to find a brand new one, or at worst one in a auto salvage yard.

How good? Well, none of that vintage are "good" by today's standards. Lousy fuel mileage, mediocre performance, lacking in now-standard features and amenities. But for its time it was an excellent RV.

I had a early 70s eyebrow Winnabago pass me the other day. It looked like hell, but ran great. I am in Atl. Ga. He had calif. plates. I have friends who are in the GMC club and all their coaches are from the 70s. If you keep up your coach, they will last a long time. One word of caution your coach is framed of wood. You must must must must keep the leaks fixed. Wet enclosed wood will rot.
