I don't know if you can still buy a 8ft bed on a new pickup. We have a nice golf cart because we are pushing 80 and have bad knees and hips. We looked at the small carts but they ride very rough. If we can not figure out something we will just keep our motor home. The golf cart back wheels are half in and half out of the pickup bed. Old age is not so bad it is the side affects that mess us up. Thanks for your thoughts.

I know Chevy still makes 2500HD pickups with 8 ft beds. I think the longer wheel base give more stability when towing too. It's a big truck we have a 2016 crew cab.

Hauling golf cart

All the American manufacturers are still making pickups with 8 foot beds because that’s the size of a common sheet of plywood
