Head West Young Man

We are headed to San Antonio around the 15th, leaving from Southeastern Alabama. Looking so forward to our first "big" trip. We have made several shorter trips, and we believe we are ready for a longer one. I have always wanted to visit the Alamo, and the famed San Antonio river walk restaurants. The first half of our trip is already planned, I am just figuring out the Texas part of it. See ya on the road.

Best of luck and enjoy the trip. Don't forget to tour the Missions. If I remember correctly from a year ago, there are three besides the Alamo. Where are you staying?

San Antonio is a great place to visit. As you know it will be brutally hot. Early morning and late evening trips outside. And museums and such during the heat of the day. San Antonio has good museums and zoo and Institute of American Culture. Have a great trip and bite on a jalapeno for me...............ronspradley

We went to San Antonio last Nov few 2 days while my wife was working in Fort Worth. Did the hotel stay. The Alamo, River Walk, & one of the other Missions made for a great get a way. Enjoy your trip. We are flying out to Reno for a week at Lake Tahoe the 14th. Can't wait.
