run heater

I agree and do as everybody else just stated, run your heater! Living in florida, I crank up the generator one half hour before I start up the diesel and let it run for about one half hour AFTER I shut down the diesel. You have the capability for full climate control so it only make sense to use it!

Since this thread is under "General Discussion" and the OP didn't state if he was asking about a motor home or a fifth wheel or a pop-up, I guess it's ok no matter what. I just don't think you can run propane appliances along certain stretches of roads (tunnels, etc). Other wise it's like the Doors sang, Come on Baby, Light My Fire.

Not just tunnels but some bridges also
Signage.....pay attention to signage

Same goes for ferries

We are good with the dash and rear heater running off the engine antifreeze until somewhere in the high 20's. Then we turn on the propane furnace.
