Hello fellow WB View owners
Hello
We just purchased a 2007 View, no slides, luckily with only 11K miles on it - needs a paint job but interior is mint cond. in appearance. We love it so far.
I want to ask other view owners about recommended tire pressure. Door specs say 58psi front/57 rear, but Firestone Transforce tires, 225/75/R16 have a max of 80psi and the WB door specs seem really low to me; I assume that is figured with a full load. The seller, Camping World, had the tires set at their max of 80, yet both dually tires at the max is something I was always told NOT to do and I called WB and they insist on going with the door specs. I'd like to hear opinions on what tire pressure is best - I lowered front to 72, rear to 71. Would love suggestions, thanks.

Welcome to the Forum and on your new to u RV. I know with our MH it depends on the load and it should be weighed at each corner. Then follow the tire manufacturers recommendations. I would contact Firestone to determine what they recommend as to the proper tire pressure. Hopefully someone will have the information for you on this Forum.

The tire pressures you have now are very close to what they should be. Adjust according to the wear on the tread from here out.

If the tires are the same size as in shown in the "door specs", that psi should be fine. It is for sure enough to support max rated load at each axle, cause no RV manufacturer would spec less without a scaled weight to justify it. The same door sticker that gives you the psi also shows the weight (load) that corresponds to it and you can compare that to your actual axle weights or the max if you haven't been to a scale yet.
CW set the tire to max load pressure cause they think they can't go wrong if they are high rather than low. Dubious logic on the part of their lawyers, but there haven't been any over-pressure lawsuits yet.
The tire manufacturers say to always use the vehicle manufacturer spec.
There is nothing wrong with having both duals at max rated load & pressure, but it is probably way overkill for your coach and gives an unnecessarily harsh ride.

Thanks, but when you say "NOW" do you mean the door spec of 58 or what I set them to (72/71)?
