Just got our camper out for the season. The radio is displaying the time but I can't get the radio or cd player to turn on. Any suggestions, we already checked the fuse box and all is ok.

I had the same problem with my radio and the coach battery was below 9.6 volts. I charged the batterys and that fixed the problem.

Could a low battery still be the problem, I have it plugged in to electric at the moment and it doesn't work? Our battery is probably low but I would think it would work since it is hooked up to electic.

Unless you have a Battery Minder or Trickle L Start to charge your chassis battery, being plugged into shore power might not help. Shore power and the generator on many brands only charge the house batteries. On these, the chassis battery is charged only when the engine is running.

If your battery seems OK and you're still having a problem with the radio/CD player, post another message providing the make of the unit and the make/year the camper it's installed in. Maybe there's someone out there that has the same radio/CD player with the same problem. Some of these radio/CD units (Like the one in mine, an Executive 7000 by Mito Corporation) are troublesome.

If your batteries went completely dead you may have to enter a code to reactivate your radio. It's a security thing that makes your radio useless if stolen. They code should be in the paperwork for the radio.
