Help on new flooring

have a question my hubby & I r remodeling our 33ft 5th wheel toyhauler. We are struggling with what type of flooring do we use besides carpet.. We live in hot hot sunny southern California. 3 months out of the year we have extreme heat it can get up to 126 degrees.. I NOW HOW DO WE STAND IT!!! LOL We know peel & stick flooring may come up with the heat. if we lay wood or laminate floating floor, how would that stand up to the traveling? Just trying to find the best flooring for heat and traveling…

I would suggest Armstrong Allure floating floor vinyl material. This flooring attaches to the piece next to it only. As long as you leave a space around the edges and cover with a strip of matching molding, expansion and contraction due to temp changes will be no problem. I have used this flooring product in two of my homes with great success. They are virtually water proof and pet proof as well. My four very large Lab's have not been able to hurt it at all. I am planing on doing it in my class A mh also. There are other folks here that have used this product, maybe someone will give you their experience with using it in a mh.

Last year we updated flooring in our coach and used a "wood plank" style vinyl with the adhesive back. I left some space on the ends that I covered with a 1/4" round molding. The product is rated for industrial use. We picked it up at the local hardware store. It looks good and has held up over a year where we have used our coach more than the average rv'r. The only issue I have had is a couple of pieces have minor gaps due to movement. I should have cut them tighter on the ends to alleviate this movement. Good luck.

When we bought our 2002 Windsor in 2008 the carpet showed wear. In our previous Class C I had pulled up the carpet an installed laminate and it held up really well.

So, I opted to do the same thing in the Class A. Tore out all the carpeting and installed a 7 mm laminate to allow for clearance on the slides. During install, even though the laminate snap together type I used a small bead of glue on each joint. When I was 1/2 way across the living room I used a liberal amount of gorilla glue to hold the flooring centered. I left a limited amount of expansion joint on the straight wall figuring there was room under the slide for expansion.

My wife raises and shows dogs so the coach does get lots of dirt, mud, sand, and water carried in but the floor has held up well

My 2004 Simba has laminate and I like it.
Where I live the temps can range from +35 degrees C in Summer to -35 degress C in the Winter. And I use my Class A year round.
Never had a problem with it yet....
Although I am having issues with my underfloor ducted heat air flow....so my whole floor may need to come up. Unfortunately the person who installed seems to have used glue......OH NO.....

Anyways
The brand in mine is GOLDEN SELECT (from Costco)
15.3 mm which includes the foam backing on each board.

Check out vinyl wood grain planks at Home Depot or Lowes. Easy to install, completely waterproof, and looks great.
