Here we go, here we are

This weekend was our first journey outside of the back yard with our new to us, 2005 National Dolphin. The journey to our camp was long and perililous. I think 2.3 miles from the house.

We figured for our first trip, we'd stay close to home. Kind of a shake down trip to work out any bugs and see what we're missing. The RV park, Bordertown RV park at the Bordertown exit on 395 North in Nevada, is very nice.

Set up went smooth as did meal preperation. Cold temperatures at night froze the water hose, but after I thawed it, everything was fine.

The "Nice to have" list got several additonal items added to it. It'll be a fun trip to Walmart later today.

Wolfpack Fan,

How many mpg round trip?
Sounds like you may be doing a few tailgaters with your 2005 Dolphin.
National built nice RVs until their demise so happy trails to you and hope to meet you down the trail of life.

Woo Hoo! Well, the ice is broken, litterally.

When we know the overnight temps will be below freezing, I just make sure we have water in our on-board tank and will disconnect and store the city water hose.

Here's to many more happy outings!

I also disconnect & store the septic hose when I know it will be freezing cold.

Sure beats tenting doesn't it? We did that years ago so we really appreciate our MH now. We have a set of "stuff" in the MH so we don't have to haul stuff from the house each time we go somewhere, which is at least once a month.

Travel safe, often, and enjoy.

Funny Funny! I like it. We actually decided to put a few miles on it yesterday to go to Walmart and knock out that "nice to have list". I think we're dialed for the next trip.
