I have this kuat rack and we love it. Bikes do not get beat up and they are on and off in less than a minute. Now I need to figure out how to put it between the coach and the jeep

I have one that looks just like that which I bought on E-Bay. It works great if you only need to carry 2 bikes! Once I bolted it together I had all the seams welded so nobody could use a wrench and steal my bikes!

Is the bike rack for the back of a toad? What kind of toad do you have? The reason I am asking is that I carry our bike inside my CRV using a simple fork mount and Yakama cross bar. If you tow an SUV it might be easier just to carry them inside.

There's no reason you can't use it on the back of a toad as long as the toad has a 2" hitch available. We bought ours for the back of a 5er we used to pull.

I have purchased two of these: Traveler XC 2 RV 64663 « Swagman I gave one away when I thought I wouldn't need it. Then two years later needed one again and bought the second one. Very stable, bikes don't flop around like on the hanging ones.

This is the one I used, but I clicked on the link and it's not there anymore. Guess they don't make it now.

That's the rack I have. Going on three years. The only problem I ran into was the receiver tube was too long and when I tow the car the rack was over the vertical pivot of the tow bar. Cut the bar and drill a new pin hole. Found on eBay for around $50. Didn't want a rack that cost more than the bikes.

I also bought one of the Swagman bike racks, the one that holds 4 bikes. I had read somewhere that since I have a bumper on my class C that I should buy the adapter that hooks to the bumper. At the time I thought this was a good idea since it left my built in hitch open in the event that I wanted to tow my Jetta and carry the bikes. I found today that the bike rack is actually tearing the bumper from its welding. It's only holding 2 kid bikes for my 6 and 4 year old. These aren't cast iron bicycles so I am really quite disappointed. I guess learning is part of owning your first RV, eh? :-/
