Hitch Help Needed
I need to buy a hitch with a sway bar that we can back up an rv with. I am getting older and can not pick up heavy stuff.
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum!
You might be better served looking in the Trailer Towing and Tow Vehicles Discussion - iRV2 Forums trailers / campers towing forum. They discuss that stuff all the time over there.

I used an equalizer 4 point and used the trailer jack to do all the lifting. Had no problems backing up with it on either.

By "sway bar" do you mean one of those friction clamp devices that is added along side of a weight distributing hitch? Or the big spring bars that actually do the weight transfer? Some people incorrectly call the round or trunnion type bars that apply spring pressure to the hitch "sway bars". They have nothing to do with sway.

Actually some of the trunnion bar WDH's do have sway control built in to the trunnion bar design.

Yes they do, e.g. Equal-I-Zer, and they are effective, but that is not the purpose of having the bars in the first place. They are for weight distribution first and sway control only as an auxiliary function.
I much refer the built-in control of the trunnions to an add-on friction device, but that's another discussion.

I second the Equalizer 4 point with built in sway control. About $500 on-line or $700 improperly installed by the dealer.

Depending on your set up,
Look at the Anderson W.D. hitch !!
Works great for certain applications.
Have a 2011 F- 150. Lance 2285 , dry 4800 lbs.
Still have more squat on truck than I like.
I might add airbags to help, F-150s have soft rear end anymore.
Just an idea...
