We became leaseholders at the Saguaro SKP co-op in Benson Az 2 years ago and this is home base for us. We have a large lot with a casita and a wonderful community. It allows us to go and come as we please and all my wife’s treasures have a home.

We had our dream home built in 2005. I would like to move someplace warm during the winter but don't want to leave family. So the family house is where we will stay for a while. It's great to hit the road but its always even better to pull into the driveway after a long trip!

At this point in time we prefer our house. It’s paid for and is in the area where we have lived all of our lives near family and friends. I retired last May and my wife is retiring this coming July. We recently traded our 2010 class C in on a new Forest River FR3 30DS and hope to spend 3-6 months traveling that first year we’re both retired. We’ll decide after that if we want to sell the house and get an apartment and travel even more. Growing up in the northeast we both would like to experience a winter with no snow and temperatures above 60 degrees.

We are half timers traveling typically 1 to 3 months at a time.

In retirement we have continued to keep our paid for single family residence on 1/2 acre in SoCal. We have RV parking pad on the property with hookups.

Prior to retirement we took out the lawn replacing with low maintenance rock and succulents, decommissioned the swimming pool and filled it in, installed cameras and security system. Made it so we can just lock the door and drive away - with no maintenance needed while we are gone. Working well now for 4 years and many trips.

The park is run by the HOA, similar to any S&B gated community. The county can and has asked that we close the pool and some common areas, but won't force owners to leave.

We purchased a Condominium. Like someone said earlier just empty the fridge our neighbor will take the garbage out for us we lock the doors turn on security and get away. Yes a low HOA fee but we need a S&B to comeback to for our exit plan.
