Even tent camping I heat up water to wash my hands and other body parts every day, not to mention dishes. Washing my hands in cold water never fails to leave my hands chapped and less-than-clean.
When I upgraded to an old used popup trailer I thought it was heavenly to be able to take a warm sponge bath INSIDE the trailer and heating my dishwater indoors, standing up. then I got a solar shower and a tarp privacy shelter and I thought I was in the lap of luxury!
You have an RV with a water heater, a sink and likely a shower stall, and want to get rid of it?!?

I vote HECK NO!

Really, a water heater just doesn't use that much propane. Live with it. Besides, Mama probably doesn't want to wash in cold water, either! Women tend to like the little luxuries, such as hot water.

Tough to hang a mattress between 2 trees

Some of my best sleeping has been in a hammock

I'm curious how you empty a composting toilet.

Most are built such that the liquids go in a removable bottle and the solids and compost are in a removable bag.

Know what you mean, I'm out quick in a hammock but don't stay that way long as I've never been a back sleeper.

The one I have is Nature's Head. Separates the urine and solids. The solids don't really smell if they have something to absorb the odor like composting material or wood chips. There is a handle on the side to stir your business into the composting material and an exhaust fan that is vented to the outside. The urine is what is really rank but that can be fixed also, just don't mix the two.

My step van has two front doors, a side door, and two rear doors. I'm thinking of using the side door for the stall, then the stuff can be removed easily by opening the door.

For about 8 months I lived in a slide in camper with no running water and no electric. Used the outhouse in a bucket as in March when I started the ground is froze. Really wasn't too bad, there are lids that are designed to fit a 5 gallon bucket. Start with a bed of wood chips and start the layer cake. No smell there. What does smell is the urine, something terrible awful. So you separate that.

I think I’m gonna be sick.

I remember our first cabin cruiser boat 40 yrs ago that had a head you had to dump manually. It was about 5 gallons. On a hot summer day, I carried that bomb into the condo where our boat was moored and proceeded to dump its contents down the toilet. We had to evacuate the building for about an hour.

You may be able to go with a tankless hot water heater. They work pretty good.

I didn't have hot water for a couple of months on different trips. It's surprising how cold the fresh water tank gets at night. So that morning shower is still cold lol

If your not showing I wouldn't worry about it.

There was a tankless 120v in there. It was or looks to be pretty much gone or need of upgrading so that may be the plan. Haven't used one but better than nothing if hot water is needed.

Dishwasher? The mechanical type, or the better half. Neither one would work without hot water!
