I guess most of the dealers want to bring the less expensive rigs to the show as that is what they sell the most of. The high end market is much more limited in potential buyers.

We went, we saw, we didn't buy.

Did anyone see the car show before arriving?

We exited 610 loop on to Kirby and immediately got into the right hand lane. That is about 1 mile or so to the entrance to the RV Show. It took us 1 hour to make that 1 mile journey, so while sitting there we watched the slow car show pass by in the other lanes. Woe is me. I worked in that area for 6 years and should have known to come in from the other side of the Center. Sheesh!

Then, parking was premium after pay the $10, which I expected to pay. Slow going into the grounds but I was fortunate as they started to parallel park the vehicles and I was the 4th one back.

Then, the line inside to get tickets (this was 12:30 p.m or so) was 75 to100 yards long snaking around the support uprights and this is from both sides of the Center. Two lines and both very long.

The only Texas Boomers we met where Jimmy and Tre and fortunately it was at the start of that 75-100 yard long line so the conversation helped the time go by.

Ever wonder how many people can get into a motorhome at one time? Well in one of them there were 20+ (I couldn't count ones hiding in bathrooms or behind walls. I just counted from the door and turned around and left. Would those be considered "Used Motorhomes" now.

Believe it or not, one motor home came with kids. Myself and another person opened up the big closet on one of the upper priced MH's and in the bottom under the cubby hole on each side were girls, about 10 years or so in age sitting crossed legged. The guy with me said, "Hey this one comes with kids!"

Overall, we were not to impressed. Next year it's back to Thursday or Friday attendance. Oh, and by the way, we departed at 3:15 p.m. No traffic, no likes for tickets, and parking was available. Just sayin'


Edited: Oh, forgot! My big laugh moment was inside the Winnegago Destination 5th Wheel. I heard a gentleman ask the customer service person if the 5th wheel could be towed by a 1/2 ton. (That's about a 12,000 pound or so 5th wheel, isn't it.) I think I replied that you might be able to tow it, but you may not be able to stop it.

Yes, for all you people towing a large 5th wheel with a 1/2 ton, I know it can be done and you have never had a problem. It is not recommended though.

All I can say is wow. And I know what you mean about 20 people in an RV. It can be done just not in mine!
