How and where do you store your garden flags

We (DW) has several of these in varying sizes (more than the 2 shown here).

So where do you guys store these and how? I've laid them down in one of the basement bays; I've stood them up in a large interior closet; I've stored them right side up and upside down. End result is they don't stay put; they rattle around and they get tangled up.

Any solutions out there?
