Metal pans are not a problem with either Low Bake" (10% microwave) or "High Roast" (30% microwave) if the edge of the pan doesn't strike the side of the oven.

Note that all Sharp microwave ovens have metal racks and turntable supports. Some have metal turntables. The issue is to keep the metal far enough from the edge of the oven to prevent arching.

Try the "low Bake" thing with any pan you like that doesn't touch the oven edge, and see if you like it.

Good Luck!

Joe, maybe Annette would like to try hoecakes cooked on the stove (which I'm sure she is familiar with being from MS.) Here's a good recipe from Paula Deen... Hoecakes Recipe : Paula Deen : Food Network Leave out the sugar for more savory hoe cakes.
