We were boondockers also and never has a problem finding a laundry in any town - even the small ones. We didn't use the internet for finding them. We just went. When you go into town for groceries, mail or whatever, take your laundry with you and then just ask someone when you get into town. In town is a good place to meet the locals and get lots of good information on 'hidden' things to see in the area. We got two weeks' worth of laundry done in 1.5 hours and then didn't have to think about it for a long time.

We never used campground laundries - too expensive, typically don't have the big load washers and the c.g. laundries aren't kept up like in town where they have attendants constantly wiping and cleaning. We never had an issue with dirty machines like some folks like to state.

When it locates the nearest one, you just hit enter, and it will direct you right to it. Of course our smart phones work amazing, but they require data to use them for navigation. This is why I bought a good gps.

This is on our list of items to buy but we haven’t yet. There are so many different things you can spend money on - it’s a little overwhelming in the beginning. :-p

My husband is leaning towards the RV Garmin. Which one do you use, and would you recommend the one you use to others?

Thanks again for all of the helpful replies! I appreciate it very much. <3

What woks for me is to buy a $100 cheap Garmin GPS and just replace it every couple of years rather than pay $50 for map updates. I also use a Truckers Atlas and do a MapQuest search the night before the trip.

We use the Yelp app. Sometimes you have to get creative with the spelling, but we can find not only the address but reviews. Crowd sourced reviews are generally pretty accurate.

I’ve never had to search for a laundromat, but my smart phone gets used quite often. All I do is push the google microphone and ask for what ever I need and it tells me where it’s at and how to get there. Can’t get much simpler then that.
