How to remove these cam locks
Finally got the new-to-me used 5er home and discovered that all of the cam locks on the exterior compartments are seized. I tried some graphite lock lube, but no dice. So, I'm going to have to replace them.
I've run into two problems. First problem is a couple of the locks are not the typical kind with the threaded shaft and nut on the inside. They just look like some sort of rivet on the inside (see pictures). Any ideas on how to remove these locks?
Second problem is the door to the fresh tank gravity fill is locked and I can't get it open. The door is flimsy plastic and I could easily break it open, but I'd rather not do that. Can these locks be forced open, or maybe drilled out?
Thanks much.

Looking at the first picture it looks like you can push in the tab I marked with the blue arrow. Then it will turn out the hole.

Looks like the black part is a spring clip. Squeeze the clips on both sides to release the lock.
Here's an example: https://www.rvlocksandmore.com/Hatch...-Keyed-to-G391 Snap-In Hatch Key Lock.
Fresh tank gravity fill is locked: Try lube first. Also, it could be keyed differently. Any other keys on the key ring that you haven't tried yet?

Try squirting PB blaster into the lock and waiting a few hours.
Otherwise, if you are going to replace them....
Almost all cam locks can be defeated by gripping the edge of the ring on the outside with pliers and twisting. Many can be defeated by jamming a large screwdriver into the slot and twisting
See post 3 in this link for some replacement options

I replaced all my compartment locks with Bauer Cam Locks. If you decide to also change your entry door lock, they offer those (touch pad with a key backup), and can key it like your compartment locks.
By the way, the locks are secured by nuts, not by a spring clip.

Another thought - The chances of EVERY SINGLE lock being seized are very, very long odds.
Sounds like they are keyed for a key that you didn't get when you bought the rig.

Unfortunately, from my own experience, I struggled long and hard trying to get a lock to work on my RV. Turned out I was using the wrong key. I put the correct key in and presto, it worked like magic!

Thanks, makes sense that the black tabs would be a release.
I did use graphite lube, to no avail. I didn't think about PB blaster. I'll have to give that a try.
I've tried all three keys that I got, and none of them work in the cam locks. One key operates the entry door. A different key of the same type operates the slam latch baggage doors. This second key will go into some of the cam locks, but will not turn them. It won't go into some of the other seemingly identical cam locks. The third key looks similar to a CH 751 key (but isn't); it won't go into any of the locks.

I have to call the dealer about some other stuff; I'll ask him to make sure he gave me all the keys.

It could be a R001 key for the lock.

I talked to the dealer today, and he said the cam locks are CH 751. I looked closely at one of them and did see a very tiny CH 751 stamp on the faceplate of the lock. But the keys he gave me do not include a 751 key. I'll have to dig around -- I might still have a 751 key left over from the locks I replaced on previous rigs. Regardless, I'll probably replace the locks that don't really matter with thumb latches (water fill, electric connection) and the locks that do matter with non-751 locks (generator compartment, battery compartment, safe).
Thanks for the input, everyone.

6- pack of CH751 keys for $3.99 on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/CH751-Siasky-...7421977&sr=8-1
One other comment: I have the same locks/keys as everyone else, but my keys are marked 612, not CH751. Same key just another number for the exact same thing.
