Florida is having it's once a year Tax free Holiday on Hurricane Camping supplies. Buy them while the price is right.

I just came from Home Depot. I bought two new Energizer Weather Ready Folding LED Lantern Area Flashlights Model FL452WRBP They are $18.00 each. 245 hours on a set of batteries.

I also bought a Compact TV/Lantern/AM/FM Weather Alert Radio. I paid $27.00. It has AC, hand crank and rechargeable NiMH back-up battery.

I also bought a Vector VEC438 AM/FM/Weather Radio I again paid $27.00 for this unit. It has S.A.M.E. technology. It has AC, hand crank and rechargeable NiMH back-up battery.

They have a nicer television the combines the same radio for $49.99 but I would rather have two separate units. I can take the radio along camping as it it much smaller than lugging the television around.

The LED and crank technology should cut down drastically on the cost of batteries in the long run. All of these items can be used for Hurricanes or camping. Just thought I would pass this info along for anyone close to Florida.
