HWH jack control box leak
Is someone here familiar with the construction of the HWH manual leveler control box ( the one with the joy stick ). Mine developed a leak while parked on a concrete slab in Florida this winter. I had deployed the levelers to keep the motorhome from rocking and rollin while parked, and to give it some stability with the slides out. The box is mounted on the floor next to the drivers seat, and extends through the floor where about forty-eleven hydraulic hoses attach to it. The hoses are fairly new, so none of them is cracked, and I wiggled all of the fittings trying to find a loose one (getting myself extremely greasy in the process ). I was wondering if maybe the box has a cover with a gasket that is leaking. It actually leaked enough fluid that the jacks retracted slightly, and I spent the winter in a box that rocked and rolled when I did. Any ideas are appreciated.

My jacks are HWH 210. I had one jack that wouldn't hold, and retracted with an hour. The joystick control box was leaking internally back to the reservoir.
I sent the box to HWH and they rebuild it for me. I got it back in about a week, and cost me about $75.00.
As you can see from the pic, it is one solid block. I think the only place it can leak like yours would be from the hose or the fittings.

i know its a messy job, but if you remove the joystick valve from its housing, clean it up, and let it sit for awhile, the leak will be apparent.
remove the two 1/4 inch bolts thru the plastic housing. that will be under the coach.
pull it out the bottom and just let it hang rom the hoses. be sure to clean all the hose fittings. if you want it repaired. email service@hwh and request a rga tracking number. send it in and in about three weeks, you will have a non leaking valve, with a warranty.
new and reman valves are also available at stuarts in indiana, ppl rv in houston, amazon, or ebay.
if you need help, please feel free to call me at 1-602-659-3638

Thank you to both responders, especially Joel for the pictures. That box looks just like the one on my unit. I am hoping that since the fluid leaks on the outside of the box and onto the ground, that maybe I will be lucky and the problem will be with one of the fittings. I plan ask to a local mechanic who is skilled in repairing commercial hydraulic systems to degrease the thing and try to localize the leak. Barring that, I guess another trip to Stewarts in Elkhart is in order. ( At my age, I don't seem to be able to do work with my hands up over my head without getting nauseated)

hey bob, getting old is not for the faint hearted.
the golden years aint all its cracked up to be. the only thing ive found golden is the the urine from all the medications. at age 72, i have a hard time doing a lot of things, but i cant envision a rocking chair just yet.
btw there are o rings on the top of the valve, under the four plungers. that may be your leak. just build up some pressure and let it sit. it should show up quickly.
