I don't know what to do.
I'm traveling from Phoenix to Houston and with my mother and daughter a 1999 Holiday Rambler endeavor stuck in the sand in El Paso Texas and I cannot get a hold of a tow truck company I called the sheriff you came and called a tow truck for me they still have not shown up I was in repair shop for 5 days when my drive shaft fell out now that I've been fixed but this thing still feels like it's leaning sideways my generator won't come on so it's very hot and I have three pets an elderly mother and this is been a nightmare we would never have been to Travel Inn in motorhome if we knew all this was going to happen I wish I could just get a rental car and make it to where my destination is but I don't know what my options are I still need to do something about this motorhome or I could hire a driver to drive us there I guess any advice?

I'd call the police. They should be able to get a tow for you or at least suggest a place to get you out of the heat. Get a room for the night. Are you in a RV park? They should be able to help. I can't imagine where you'd be stuck in sand in ElPaso.

This ^^^
Motorhome in a “classic” ( old) or for matter any , isn’t cheap contrary to what everybody dreams . I’m constantly fixing things. Fix one another pops up. The more expensive it was when new the bigger the repairs. Especially if your having someone else do the work at 130 per hour or more. I’ve found about 10% of the value of the coach per year is a conservative number on all the rv’s I’ve owned.
If your not up to “fixing” stuff… I’d re think the plan. It’s a good time to sell prices are high on used. I know some will say it’s all unicorns .. it’s not, but I love the lifestyle so it’s worth the hassle. Is the lifestyle worth it?

Probably not a good time to ask but why are you in sand to begin with?

I wonder, also. El Paso doesn't have beaches. I can't imagine where she is.

I hope by this time the OP has found safe shelter to everyone and pets.
Why on sand at about 1 pm, too early to be stopping for the night? If in EL Paseo there should be plenty of 24/7 tow services, even for big rigs. Will it be cheap, no. Depending how far off a hard surface she is.
Operating a MH just is not like a modern car. They big, heavy, complex and stuff fails. To me RVing is an adventure not just another over sized car for transport.
A while back I saw a rig with a tag axle stuck in an unusual fashion. They had attempted to make a U turn across a dirt median. The ground was solid enough. But the dip in the center of the median was the problem child. Seems they had gone slowly enough so that the steers and tag were on the ground while drive wheels were high and clear in the air with no contact to the ground.

The entire thing sounds like a hoax to me. Notice that she has not been back to respond to anyone,

sounds like a fish story to me. at least i hope it is. a lot of things wrong at the same time. sure don't understand the part about getting stuck in the sand. i'm thinking el paso hasn't had dirt/sand streets since the 1920's.

Born and raised there. Obviously, many of you would not believe how much sand there is IN and around El Paso TX

In ElPaso... actual sand as opposed to standard desert grit? Where at?
