I need a good mechanic's creeper

I have owned about 5 mechanic's creepers over the years and they all break. I would love to invest in one that will last the rest of my life. I don't do a lot of work under the vehicles, but all the creepers I have owned have broken, usually a wheel breaks off.

I know there are a lot of mechanic types on here and would appreciate your recommendations. Money is no object. I just want one that will last normal use. Prefer something low profile with places to put parts and small tools.

look into the roughrider. Great warranty and low clearance.

Bone brand creeper. They are low profile, have 5” wheels, can roll over cords etc, I’ve seen them get run over, plastic cracked but wheels still worked.
No storage though. I’ve been on creepers for 40 years, I never thought storage was necessary. Hard to turn over and look in the little bin when you’re laying on the creeper.

I would give the Harbor Freight Icon 37" creeper a look based on your ask. If I were in the market for a new one, that would be on my list.

The Bone Creeper will be the most durable and long-lasting creeper you can buy. The only con.....if you're a big/tall guy it can be a little uncomfortable. I'm 6'2" and 300 pounds. The Bone Creeper has been indestructible under my fat butt, but it's design can be a little uncomfortable. Since I don't use it often, I can put up with it being a little uncomfortable.

Dang, that Bone creeper isn't in stock anywhere. Advance Auto said they had one but when I called, they didn't. Would love to get the Bone Rough Rider. That would allow me to work on my RV in storage where it sits on gravel.

I gave up on creepers and found it much easier to use rolls of carpet or cardboard, creeper wheels are always getting stuck in expansion joints and tangled in cords and air lines, shirt tails etc. Have you ever ran over a finger trying to jerk the creeper in a direction you wanted it to go? Plus with cardboard or carpeting you have more working clearance. However I recently saw these creepers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EKWNEZC...v_ov_lig_dp_it without wheels and am considering trying one to carry for emergency use.

Couldn't find a Bone in stock, so I went to Harbor Freight and got this one. Very heavy duty and large wheels to roll over things. This should hold up.

Got one of these a few years back because it was killing my shoulders working under the trailer. They were much cheaper when I got it. You can raise your upper body so you are closer to what you are working on. Not perfect, but better than working for hours reaching way up.

Per the usual iRV2 advice, maybe have it 4 cornered weighed with what it normally will carry to make sure you don't exceed its GVWR.

I worked my career as a professional mechanic. If you really want quality and durability, nothing is built better than Snap On Tools.

I picked one off their website. Very low slung to get underneath lower places. Very comfortable, padded and a padded adjustable headrest. Metal welded frame with heavy duty casters. I seriously doubt you could damage it short of driving the coach over it.

You did mention price was no object.
