If you had a fixed A&E awning the solution would be easy. Your problem is that you need a roof!
I would buy and use a stand alone screen room. there are several brands and you can see those at Costco, Sam's, WalMart etc. I believe Coleman has one also. We have a Coleman Outlet here in Myrtle Beach and they have all kinds of neat stuff.

thanks for the info..but do not know what you mean by "i would need a roof". i thought the awning would be the roof. i guess a seperate screened canopy/ tent might be better..this way i cn close the awning and still have a screened area. On the other hand...that is also more stuuf (space)

The feature auto awnings have to retract when it gets too windy or the temp gets too low is what has prevented us from getting an "add a room" type screen room. With ours we can disable the wind sensor but nothing disables the temp sensor (yes we do use our awning in the winter).
We use a 10x10 screen room, though we'd get one with straight legs if we were to get one again.

IamGadget, Exactly. My A&E 8500 allows the awning to be the roof because it has side panels that can mate to the awning hardware. If you have an electic automatic awning, 1st of all I believe it would be too tall for most Patty-O-Room applications plus I don't believe that it would sustain the weight of the screen room very well. You would need to thread one panel through a channel on the main awning roller.
So given these challenges, I believe a stand alone screen room would be the best solution for you.

Hi IamGadget,
The Add-A-Room should work with your power awning. I do not own one. However, I have taken the measurements and, for me, one of the Add-A-Room choices will work. Make sure you turn off the auto retract feature. For my setup, the temp sensor also is off when the auto retract feature is off. To see an example, go to Add-a-Room for 12-Volt Awnings - Flat Pitch - Product - Camping World
