I never forget.

To those dealers that won't make a deal at customary discounts........I don't forget. I won't buy at your inflated price and I won't forget you.

Maybe they're selling enough without needing to give a "customary discount".

They are selling all they can get and at new prices that until last year where unthought of.

Please don’t hold your breath waiting for a dealer to give you a traditional discount.

They don’t have to but come next year or the year after, even more likely, the deals will likely return.

When any place gouges or gives poor service, I have a long memory too!

I don't waste my memory with them. I will never do business with them.

Do you think dealers are reading this or even care........

Better to express your distaste to them then rant/preach to the choir here

I never forget.

I’m never happy to see prices go up on anything I’d like to buy, but the market is hot and in order to move product they don’t have to discount the way they usually do.

If you’re in a hot housing market, would you sell your house for what you paid, or what it was worth a couple years ago, or what the market would bear today? I for one would squeeze every extra penny out I could.

Do you not realize the price TO the dealers has skyrocketed. I do agree that wiggle room is a thing of the past.

Wiggle room will come back - as soon as they raise the fictitious MSRP. Very soon, we'll all feel good again about getting 20, 25, 30, 35% off "MSRP". . .

Dealers know they can sell there units without a discount to someone else. Used or new cars or Rvs everything is going for a premium. Have you looked at the car lots lately? Mostly used that they bought at auction.

I'm sure some of you watch Matt's RV Reviews on YouTube. Just in the past week or so he stopped showing the "sale price" he always mentions. He said that due to the current circumstances they no longer publish that price.

Seems like a good indication that prices really are going up, up, up. I recently checked NADA, and our coach is showing a value that actually exceeds what we owe! Never thought I'd see the day.

If you've been thinking of selling, I doubt you'll ever see a better time.

I do know of several dealers & service centers that monitor this site. They are the better ones that actually worry about their reputation on social media sites.

But with months of backlog on sales & service, I doubt even they have the time to look and respond online.

Dealers are in business to make money, not friends forever. Their overhead is going up too

Patience is everything.
The hot market for new has also driven up the prices for used.
We bought new just six months ago, and since then Winnebago has raised prices twice. The same trailer we bought now carries a list price $5,000 higher. Buyers should know that dealer cost is normally lower than dealer invoice. Before the boom, you could actually do a dealer invoice deal. But even today, if you’re patient, you may be able to find a dealer willing to negotiate an invoice plus deal. If you can buy at invoice plus 2-5%, you’re probably getting about the best deal you’ll find. You may have to travel hundreds of miles.

Some say, buy local because you’ll be at the head of the line for service. My feeling is, if I can’t fix it myself, $5,000 or more buys me a lot of beer while I’m waiting in line. If you’re buying a motorhome, you can buy a lot of Don Perignon by waiting in line.
